This Resolza type is
the traditional knife from Sardinia Italy, it
has always been used by the local shepherds as an everyday
tool. You would like to have one of these knives during an
outdoor day to prepare the barbeque and then cut the meat
after cooking, during a hunting or fishing day, for
gardening or any other outdoor activity where you may need a
knife to cut a rope, a small branch or similar. This is especially a cutting tool, the
name also resemble the "razor" term, it has to be
noted that in accordance to the tradition there is no lock
for the blade.
The
knife we have here for sale is a new knife made by Boiteddu
Fogarizzu, in previous page you
find some more information on his family centenary tradition
in knife making and the international success he and his
sons have in this
activity. This knife with the sheep's horn handle material
is amongst the more precious knifes of this kind, in this
case the black color of the horn and the nickel-silver
bolsters makes this knife really nice. The knife is entirely
handmade with a perfect assembly and fit up of the blade inside the
horn handle.
This knife is not numbered as the type is a traditional one,
still it is a unique handmade piece of wonderful
craftsmanship made by a recognized master and like the other
knifes from the Fogarizzu's comes with an original
certificate signed by the author. Back
